| | I just had both wisdom teeth on the right side of my face removed. It wasn't so bad. I could feel the doc hacking and sawing into the bones of my oral cavity, but the anesthesia was enogh, and the only pain was from my lips and jaws being stretched.

However, once the anesthesia wore off, I could feel the ache starting to spread all over my mouth. But I have good painkillers (Voltaren® Forte is the best!) so all's well.
The doc said my cheek would swell and probably bruise by tomorrow. So I can expect to look like a splotchy, lopsided soccer ball tomorrow. Oh joy.
I hate the taste of blood, but I'm getting used to it. It stopped being disgusting halfway into the procedure. It's just salty now. The real bleeding has stopped, but there's still some seeping. Everytime I wash my mouth out, I can see some traces of gum tissue in my spit. It's horrible. But it'll heal soon. Before it does, though, my mouth will continue to smell like Bio Lab after dissecting live frogs. Who knew frog blood and human blood smelled so similar? |
